It was too flashy and busy for the 3DS so there were frequent drops every time you used end-game skills (like salvation, dark aura, meteor crash). It feels so good being able to play it with a perfectly consistent framerate. The bosses stagger a lot more often and the visibility is so, so much better. I think it's great on PS4, but it's definitely easier.
